Officers work 85.5 hours every two weeks

Entry Level Step $25.88hr 

1st Year Step $26.90hr

2nd Year Step $27.97hr

3rd Year Step $29.11hr

4th Year Step $30.28hr

5th Year Step $31.49hr
6th Year Step $32.76hr

7th Year Step $34.07hr

8th Year Step $35.45hr

9th Year Step $36.87hr

10th Year Step $38.34hr

Hiring Incentives:

  

  • Education pay of $1200/yr for an associate’s degree or $1500/yr for a bachelor’s degree 


  • $1,000/yr incentive for certified* police officers payable upon completion of probationary period, maximum of 5 years. *Certifications and years of experience are approved at the discretion of the Chief of Police 


  • $2,000 hiring incentive for fluent Spanish speaking individuals subject to department testing 


  • $3,000 hiring incentive for those individuals who can speak, read and write Spanish fluently, subject to department testing

Tuition Reimbursement

Regular, full-time employees are entitled to receive tuition reimbursement for any classes taken in pursuit of an undergraduate degree, with a minimum grade of "C." With the approval of the city manager, employees may receive tuition reimbursement for any classes taken in pursuit of a graduate degree, with a minimum grade of "B." All tuition reimbursement is based upon tuition rates provided by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education standard.
